# Tuner

#### Mobile version (iOS and Android)

The tuner uses the phone's microphone to detect the note you're playing in real time.

**How to use:**

* Play a guitar string close to the microphone
* The tuner identifies the nearest note and shows whether it's below, in tune, or above the correct pitch
* Adjust the string until the indicator centers

> For best accuracy, use in a quiet environment and play one string at a time.

#### Web version (browser)

In the browser, the tuner works as an ear tuning reference — **Ear Tuning**. Instead of listening to your guitar through the microphone, it plays the sound of each string at standard tuning for you to compare.

**How to use:**

* Access the tuner through the app in the browser
* Tap any of the 6 strings on the screen (E, B, G, D, A, E)
* Listen to the reference sound and adjust the guitar string until it matches what you hear

> This mode is ideal for noisy environments or when the microphone is not available. We recommend using headphones for better perception of the reference note.
